Freshly Picked Seasonal Wreath Card // Right at Home Stamps + Catherine Pooler Ink Blog Hop

Edit: The winner of the giveaway is Denise Bryant! Thanks for hopping along and commenting if you did so!

Hello, hello, HELLO!

I'm super excited to be posting today as I am hosting a collaboration blog hop with the Catherine Pooler Creative Team! Today, myself along with a ton of CP designers are sharing projects featuring Right at Home stamps and Catherine Pooler Designs Premium Dye Inks which are now available in the Right at Home shop!

I can not wait to see what everyone created, but before I hop along myself let me show you what I created!

Let's get started...

Freshly Picked Seasonal Wreath Card // Right at Home Stamps + Catherine Pooler Ink Blog Hop - rightathomeshop.com/blog

I started off by stamping the smallest butterfly from my Fluttering By stamp set in different shades of blue from Catherine's ink collection. I used Black Jack for the body, Mint to Be for the base of the wings, and Aquatini over top to add some life to the butterfly. I also added a detail layer to the body of the butterfly with a crisp black ink like Midnight.

Next came a ton of floral and leaf stamping with images from my Freshly Picked stamp set. For all the leaves, stems, etc. I used Green Tea (my favoritest green shade ever) and Eucalyptus for those images that had a second layer. The single floral image used Sauna, the berries used both It's a Girl and Polished, the largest flower used Polished and Sauna, and the teeny tiny purple flower used Sweet Sixteen, Pixie Dust, and Flirty Fuchsia.

For the banner I decided to bring in some more shades of yellow so I grabbed Shea Butter for the base and tail ends (double stamped) and Sauna, again, for the shadow. Over top I stamped a greeting from my Thanks a Bunch set and curved it to match the curve of the banner.

I wanted to create a base for all my stamped images so I pulled out the wreath die from my Seasonal Wreath Die Set and die-cut from some cardstock that I had inked with Green Tea ink. I did a direct ink pad to paper technique to really transfer the color. I also die-cut two additional wreaths from white cardstock to layer underneath so it would pop off the card.

I assembled all of my elements onto a piece of textured white cardstock that I die-cut with a stitched rectangle die from my Find the Beauty Die Set. I used both liquid glue and foam tape to adhere everything. Once I had finally achieved an arrangement I liked, I glued the panel onto a yellow cardbase and my card was finished!

Gingham Background Stamped Flowers Hello Card // National Craft Month with Right at Home + Dear Paperlicious

Do you have your tissues ready?

I'm sorry to say this, but welcome to the last day of the National Craft Month Celebration with Right at Home + Friends. I hope you've enjoyed the past nine days of inspiration and video tutorials on my blog and YouTube channel. It's definitely been a journey but one filled with lots of fun and crafty vibes. For the last day of the celebration I'm honored to welcome Joan of Dear Paperlicious.

Let's get started...

Joan challenged us to use a background stamp for our designs and omg I don't think there has been a challenge this week that is more "me". If you've been following along then you'll know what I mean. For today's card I decided to push myself with my creative thinking and try to use a background stamp in a new way.

I also wanted to incorporate the flower included in my Sweet Stitches Die Set again as I loved how it looked on yesterday's card. Why not combine the two ideas? So I stamped the little die-cuts flower with my Gingham Background Stamp and I am in. love. I mean, gingham flowers?!

I used a variety of Catherine Pooler inks in the sweetest of spring hues: It's a Girl, Mint to Be, Sweet Sixteen, Party Dress and Daydream. For the leaves I die-cut them from white cardstock and inked them with Lime Rickey. The centers were inked with Shea Butter. This color works perfectly for flower centers!

I popped the centers onto the flowers with some foam tape and began arranging them on a stitched rectangle panel cut with my Find the Beauty Die Set. I did not glue them down at this point...I just wanted to find an arrangement I liked. I made sure to leave room for my "hello" die-cut which is also included in my Find the Beauty Die Set. Onto the center of the panel I inked with the same Shea Butter color to act as a background for the flowers.

Once my background was inked to my liking I adhered the flowers with liquid glue. I also glued together three layers of the "hello" die-cut to create a dimensional sentiment. Along the bottom of the layered die-cut I inked on some Shea Butter to help it blend into the background. I popped the panel onto an A2 sized kraft cardbase and my card was complete.

You can see how I brought these sweet gingham flowers to life in my process video below...

And make sure to head over to Joan's post to see her take on this challenge. I know she was really excited about her project!

Hello Find the Beauty Clean & Simple Card // National Craft Month with Right at Home + Friends

Hey, hey!

We made it to the weekend! Phew, what a week is has been. I know some of you have been crafting everyday along with me so I know you must be as tuckered as I am. So, to give us a little crafty break I'm challenging you to create a card with lots of white space. Yes, I'm giving you the freedom to design a plain, clean and simple card. In fact, I insist you do so.

Let's get started...

Hello Find the Beauty Clean & Simple Card // National Craft Month with Right at Home + Friends

When designing this card I had all these plans of making of it one layer with embossing and inlay die-cutting and basically every technique you could think of. But, sometimes you just can't quite recreate the design in your head...because you have no idea where your rubber embossing mat went. So, alas, I ended up with today's card which I still love but it has a few more layers than I originally wanted.

Hello Find the Beauty Clean & Simple Card // National Craft Month with Right at Home + Friends - rightathomeshop.com/blog

To start I die-cut the smallest stitched rectangle from my Find the Beauty Die Set. I also die-cut one of the flowers, flower center, and three of the "hello". I stamped out my flower pieces from Find the Beauty using some Catherine Pooler inks in Party Dress, Rockin' Red, Tiara, Orange Twist, and Icing on the Cake. I also pulled in Lime Rickey and Grass Skirt for my leaves which are from my Cozy Cardinal set. I just liked the scale of these leaves better for the design...I know, so extra.

Hello Find the Beauty Clean & Simple Card // National Craft Month with Right at Home + Friends - rightathomeshop.com/blog

Along the bottom of the stitched panel I used some Mint to Be ink on an ink blending tool and sponged on a light layer of color. This helped add some color to background and give some contrast for my "hello" die-cut to lay over. I adhered all my pieces over top with either foam tape or tape runner adhesive.

For my cardbase I decided I needed a bit more color so I used the same Mint to Be ink and my Watercolor Background Stamp. It adds a subtle bit color and texture which I love. I popped my stitched panel on top and my card was finished.

You can watch my super quick process in the video below...

I'm the only one posting today so make sure to join in so I'm not lonely...lol. Today would be the perfect day to do so as it is such a simple challenge. Unless you're more of a complex cardmaker which would make this challenge difficult. Nevermind.

Anyways, I'll see you back here tomorrow!
