Find the Beauty Card Trio by Deepti Stephens

Hello there everyone!

This is Deepti Stephens and I am so happy that I am guest designing for one of my favourite stamp companies, Right at Home. Today, I have three cards to share with you all.

So let's get started! :)

Find the Beauty Card Trio by Deepti Stephens // rightathomeshop.com/blog

For my first card, I stamped floral images from the Find the Beauty stamp set and layered the colors with the variety of Catherine Pooler inks - It's a Girl, Party Dress, Rockin' Red, Mint to be, Lime Rickey and Midnight.

I took a navy blue cardstock and white embossed the sentiment. I adhered all the floral images in the form of the wreath, a kind of semi-wreath.

And finally embellished the card with a few clear sequins.

Here's my video tutorial for this card...

Here comes the second card!

On a light grey card stock, I stamped the Grid Background Stamp set in Midnight ink.

I stamped the leaves on a green card stock from Find the Beauty with the Grass Skirt ink, fussy cut it and adhered over the second smaller panel.

Finally. stamped the sentiment with Midnight Ink and embellished with pink sequins. Those pink sequins look like pretty flowers, right!

And for my third card...

I applied strokes of blue water color on a white card base. Later, I added splatters of black ink.

I stamped the sentiment and other images on a white card stock with Midnight ink, fussy cut it and popped over the main card base.

I colored the envelopes with Sizzix Permanent Red Marker. The stamp set I used is from Happy Mail Year 2.

And that's all for today. Thank you so much Nicole for giving me this wonderful opportunity. I hope you all liked my projects and got inspired.

Thanks once again for visiting! :)

Right at Home New Release Video + Card Project // April 2018

Happy Monday, friend!

I hope you had a beautiful weekend. Mine was a bit of a whirlwind as I headed from MA to PA and back for the Heirloom Productions stamp show. It was the first debut of my newest release and I'm glad to say it got lots of love. If you haven't had a chance to peek at what's new, I put together a walk-through video as well as a quick card tutorial using some of the items.

Let's get started...

Right at Home New Release Video + Card Project // April 2018 - rightathomeshop.com/blog

Freshly Picked Stamp + Die Set

This set was inspired by the rows of freshly picked bundles of flowers you can find at your favorite farmers market. I adore bright spring flowers and try to always have some on my kitchen counter. Why not have some on my cards as well?

There are a variety of different ways you can mix and match the floral and leaf images included to create a custom bouquet. Wouldn't it be sweet to create a card with a bundle of the recipient's favorite flower? I think so.

Here's a peek at how you can build all the elements together...

Use the little twine stamp or banner to finish off your bouquet...

If you want to keep some ideas of how to use this set on hand, make sure to download my stamping guide here.

Thanks a Bunch

This next set was inspired by the little banner included in Freshly Picked. I wanted to have sentiments that were both small enough to fit on it as well help the sender express why they were sending a bouquet to the recipient. And that's how Thanks a Bunch was born!

You'll find a variety of different sentiments that can be curved on an acrylic block and stamped onto the banner. You'll also find a few that can work on their own or be stamped on the inside of your card. I added in a few abstract shapes which are always fun to play with to create backgrounds.

Backgrounds you say? Here's what I mean...

I also created a cluster of flowers from Freshly Picked around the sentiment. Such a versatile set!

Fluttering By Stamp + Die Set

I know. You've all been waiting for a Right at Home butterfly set. I was hesitant as there are so many butterfly stamps on the market and I wasn't sure that mine would be anything special...until I created these.

This set features three different sized butterflies that are built by stamping all the layers together. Keep them monochromatic or colorful depending on your ink choices. Some of the butterflies have a few additional layers that be mixed and matched to create different looks.

Here's how these cute critters with wings look stamped...

And here's the stamping guide for stress-free stamping.

Please note: This die set will ship separately from orders placed with the coordinating stamp set. This is due to a manufacturing error that is currently being resolved. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience.

Folk Alphabet Solid + Detail

These two alphabet sets have caused quite a stir on social media. "This set is genius, Nicole!!" "seriously brilliant girl!!!!" "Super cute!!!"...and I can't say I disagree. (biased?)

These two sets layer together to create a whimsical, folk-style sentiment. Start by stamping your solid letters in a light ink and add the detail letters overtop in a slightly darker color. Both look adorbs stamped on their own but are spectacular when used together.

Say "hello" to your new favorite alpha set...

And again with those florals and banner. I just can't even.

Download the stamping guide for this set here.

Scallop Stitches Die Set

This die set is a bonus item that I wasn't sure would be ready in time for the release. Luckily the crafty gods were looking out for me.

This die set cuts a panel slightly smaller than A2 size and impresses a scallop stitched detail around the perimeter. In addition this set includes a few extras such as a scallop circle and two script words: "hugs" and "friend".

You can see everything up close and personal in my walk-through video below...

And here's a few photos of the card project shared in the video...

I somehow managed to get every item from the new release on this one card. You'll either love me or hate me for that.

What's your favorite item from this new release? As always I can't decide. Let me know yours in the comments below!

Oh, and if you just have to have every single item, don't forget there is a bundle option available that saves you 10% off. Just note that the Scallop Stitches Die Set is not included.

Hope you have a great Monday!

Nicole

Thank You Watercolor Background Stamp Card // National Craft Month with Right at Home + My Sweet Petunia

Hello Monday, hello day #8!

Yes, 8! I'd love to keep the National Craft Month Celebration with Right at Home + Friends going all month long but, sadly, this party must come to an end sometime. BUT today is not that day! *wipes tears* So grab your favorite craft supplies, brewed drink of choice and help me in introducing Lydia of My Sweet Petunia!

Let's get started...

Thank You Watercolor Background Stamp Card // National Craft Month with Right at Home + My Sweet Petunia

Lydia chose our inspiration for the day and decided to challenge us to use a water-based medium to create a background. Sounds like something right up my alley! I grabbed a few things that I've been obsessed with lately and used on several cards throughout the week and got stamping.

Thank You Watercolor Background Stamp Card // National Craft Month with Right at Home + My Sweet Petunia - rightathomeshop.com/blog

I started by mounting my Watercolor Background Stamp onto the door of MISTI. I made sure to remove the foam insert in my stamping platform as the background stamp is rubber and already has enough dimension to create a crisp impression. I added a piece of A2 sized watercolor paper into the center of my platform and placed down my magnet to keep it in place while I stamped.

I inked up the background stamp in Mint to Be ink and spritzed it lightly with water to get the color moving. The Catherine Pooler inks are water-based and can therefore be used with water to create watercolor effects. I stamped it onto my background and decided to stamp it again as the color was too light for my liking. Next I rotated my paper and moved it up a few squares on the mat so as to stagger my stripes. I stamped my next layer in Seafoam which I also spritzed with water.

Once my panel was dry I moved on to my flower. I die-cut all the pieces using my Sweet Stitches Die Set. I colored the flower in It's a Girl, the leaves in Green Tea and the center in Shea Butter. I also die-cut three "thank you" pieces from the same die set and layered them with liquid adhesive to create a dimensional sentiment. I adhered both the flower and sentiment to my watercolor panel, glued it onto a cardbase and my was was finished!

Check out my process video below to watch my stamping technique...

And don't forget to head over to the My Sweet Petunia blog to see Lydia's creation. She's a master with water-based products so it's a project you won't want to miss.

Today was originally supposed to be the last day of the celebration, but one of my crafty friends and I decided to make one more day of inspiration. Because, why not?
