Grateful Heart Watercolor Cards by Maria

Hello Crafty Friends,

It’s such a pleasure and I’m so happy to be on the Right at Home blog today. A big thank you to Nicole! I made two cards with the Grateful Heart stamp set from the beautiful Fall Release. It’s such an amazing set with great sentiments.

My First Card:

For my first card I stamped the leaves all over on a piece of watercolor cardstock and colored them with Distress Inks. Then I stamped the sentiment on the bottom. I die-cut a larger piece of black cardstock and mounted it on a white card base using dimensional foam tape. Then I added some twine on the watercolor cardstock between leaves and sentiment, embellished it with a wooden button and mounted it on the cardbase using again dimensional foam tape.

My second card:

For my second card I used a piece of watercolor cardstock and colored it with Distress Inks. After drying I die-cut a stitched rectangle on the top and stamped the sentiment on the negative. Then I stamped some of the motives on the watercolor cardstock using Versamark Ink. I embossed the motifs with white embossing powder. At last I mounted the watercolor cardstock on a white card base using dimensional foam tape, then I added the negative with the sentiment using double sided tape. Some sparkling clear sequins finished the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy a great day!

Love, Maria
