I Miss You Gift Card Holder by Holly // Gilmore Girls Inspired Post Week

Happy Tuesday everyone. It’s Holly here today! It’s a week long celebration of the Gilmore Girls Inspired Post Week here on blog. Nicole kicked things off yesterday with a gorgeous watercolor card. I created a fun gift card holder to send to a coffee loving friend.

I started by stamping the new Watercolor Background Stamp onto a piece of white cardstock. Then I die cut a window into the panel that opens to reveal the inside of the card. I stamped the coffee cup images from Cup of Joy onto some white cardstock and colored them in with my Copics. I love the mix and match pieces in this set. I fussy cut the images out but there is a coordinating die set as well.

I adhered the cups to the inside of the center area with some foam tape. Then I created a banner with a die cut and stamped the sentiment from the Simple Sentiments set.  I wanted a little bit of srakle so I added some Sparkling Clear Sequins around the images as well. I made sure to keep everything free from the area that will be ripped open, so it moved freely.

Not going to lie..lol it was hard to rip this open for the photo. It was so cute.. but hey I can make another one right? I stamped a sentiment on the inside from the Simple Sentiments set as well and taped the gift card down. Then I added the front panel over it using adhesive just along the edges. Then I gently lifted the edge in the center to reveal the inside of the card.

Quick & Easy Valentine's Day Cards for Kids // RAH Stamps Be Mine Release

Hello, my loves!

Long time no blog...ugh. The past few weeks have been a little stressful with the new release and going back to school and whatnot. However, that will never stop me from carving out a few minutes each day to do something I love. Over the course of this past week I made a few cards for children in the hospital using some of my new products. I found a woman who is holding a collection from a wonderful crafter in my Facebook group. I will be sharing more information below. I tried to keep the cards easy to reproduce but still bright and cute. Let me show you what I came up with!

The first five cards I made are a variation of the same design. I knew I wanted to use my new Watercolor Background Stamp to create a simple yet graphic background as my base. I switched up each one by using a different ink color from my stash. Once I stamped my background, I cut it out using the largest stitched rectangle from my Find the Beauty Die Set. It's definitely a staple in my collection. To finish off these cards I added a die-cut heart with the sentiment "You are loved" in the center. I built this greeting together using a few of the words from my Simple Sentiments set. Another staple for me.

After creating five of the same design I wanted to try something different. For my last card I used the "XOXO" stamp from my new Be Mine set to create a little background for my heart to sit on top of. I used a cool grey ink to do so which is so lovely against the pink. I added a few bold, red hearts to add another element and I just adore them. It's a cute variation that's still quick and easy to produce.

Operation Valentines 2017

Over on my Facebook group I posted a photo of one of my Valentine's Day creations and my friend, Jamie, commented about how she loved the stamp I used and how it would be perfect for the cards she was making for children in the hospital. After a little back and forth she shared more information about the collection she was participating in and I thought I'd share the details as well!

Below is a video from Mel B with more information about what and what not is acceptable for the collection. She is also holding a few giveaways for participants so make sure to learn how to enter by watching until the end!

Also, there is a Facebook group you can join to share what you create and keep up to date on the collection. Join HERE.

I hope you're able to participate in this collection. Any amount of cards makes a difference in a child's day! Please let me know if you have any questions!

XOXO,

Nicole

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop // Summer 2016

Good morning, hoppers!

Who's excited for another Coffee Lovers Blog Hop? I know I am! We've got an awesome line-up of talented ladies joining us this time around so I'll make sure to keep this post quick so you can get going on the rest of your hop!

While designing my card I wanted to keep things bright and colorful yet simple to assemble as I was short on time. Due to that, I used my Silhouette Cameo for a majority of the elements. I cut out my coffee cup, stitched rectangle panel, curved hill, and "hugs" sentiment out of various cardstocks and patterned papers that I had on hand.

As a result, assembly was pretty quick. I white heat-embossed "sending" from my Simple Sentiments stamp to finish off the "hugs" greeting. I added foam tape behind some of the elements and kept the rest flat. I added a few embellishments like a button tied with twine and some enamel dots. They add a touch of dimension and additional color to an otherwise simple card design.

I hope you love what I created! To celebrate today's hop I'm giving away a prize pack worth $25 to one crafter who links up her creation to the Coffee Lovers Link-Up. If you want a chance to win, create a project inspired by summer, coffee, tea, or cocoa and link it up here. Winners will be announced soon.

Happy crafting!
