Winter Pals Flurry of Fun Card
Hey, pal!
Hope you’re having a great Monday morning so far! Today, I’m thrilled to be sharing my first card project (+ video!) using items from my November release! Have you picked up your goodies yet? If you’ve been resisting, you may want to shield your eyes from this post. Just saying.
Let’s get started…
I started by stamping my background using the Snow Flurries Background Stamp. I stamped the large background in a light blue ink and filled in all the open spaces with a variety of Catherine Pooler ink colors (listed in the products used section below). If you want a simpler background, you can just stamp the base layer, but you know me, the more color the better!
Next, I colored in the two little girl images and the tree from Winter Pals. I made sure to choose marker colors that would match my ink colors, but just to be safe, I swatched them onto a piece of white cardstock.
Once you have those two elements finished, it’s basically just assembling! I cut my background panel with a stitched rectangle and also cut a piece of white cardstock with a stitched scallop edge that would act as my snow bank. I also made sure to run it through with the same stitched rectangle so that the stitching lines would all match up. Along the bottom of the panel I stamped a sentiment from the same set.
I adhered the two panels flat together and then onto a card base and popped up all my stamped images. I finished off with a few sequins from my Winter Wonderland Sequin Mix as the colors match this card perfectly!

Create a variety of snowflake backgrounds using this one stamp! Stamp the large snowflake background on its own for a simple backdrop or add in the solid snowflake pieces for even more color! Play around with different ink colors that will help compliment your project perfectly.

Snowflake background (will be slightly larger when filled in): 4 7/16 in wide x 5 1/2 in tall
