DIY Carrot Treat Bags + Gift Tag by Stephanie // Homemade with Love Day #5

Creating handmade gifts and treats is one of my favourite things to give to family and friends. It means so much to see how much they love receiving the things that I've made and it is so much easier to create personalized gifts when they are handmade.

As my kids get older I'm finding that I really miss creating handmade treats for them to hand out to their friends at school for different holidays. It was always so much fun to sit down with the kids and turn our ideas into actual crafty projects that they could share. Today I have a fun little handmade treat to share that is perfect for school since they are easy to re-produce with kids and they include a healthier snack option which a lot of schools prefer these days.

To create these fun Easter carrots all you need are some clear disposable piping bags (the bags you use to add icing to cakes), some cheesy crackers (I used cheddar whales for mine), green ribbon and supplies to create some Easter themed tags. I used the new Hoppy Easter stamp set from Right at Home stamps to create my cute little bunny tags! ;)

Creating the carrots is really easy - just fill each piping bag with the crackers until you have it as big as you want it, tie the top with the green ribbon and then trim off any excess bag at the top. Once you have all of the carrots filled and tied together, you can set them aside and create the tags.

To create my tags, I diecut the tag pieces from a My Favorite Things die set and then I stamped all of my bunny images on the white center panels. I stamped them all a little different to add a bit of interest and then I coloured them all in with Copic markers. I adhered them all together and then I added them to the carrots with some white string to complete the carrot treats!

I hope you enjoyed this cute Easter treat using the new Hoppy Easter stamp! ;)
