Happy Thanksgiving Colorful Seasonal Wreath Card by Jeanne J.

Hi!  I’m Jeanne Jachna!  I am so excited to be a guest designer for Right at Home!  I’m smitten with dies so when I was asked to work with the new Seasonal Wreath Die Set I was all in!

This die set is so versatile!  It comes with a wreath and lots of different elements to embellish it for just about any season you can think of.  There are flowers for spring and summer, leaves for fall, and poinsettias and ornaments for Christmas.   Just by changing the colors of the images you can create so many different looks !

I started by cutting all the elements in different colors of card stock.  I cut all the leaves at one time from yellow, again from green etc.  This way you accumulate lots of leaves in different shades to use for several projects instead of cutting one leaf at a time in the desired shade.  I added the veins to only some of the leaves so it wouldn’t get too busy.

This set has so many possibilities!!  I didn’t use the wreath die at all on my card!    I shaped  a wreath from all the different shaped leaves in the set..  I made sure to cut the sweet little acorns in a contrasting color so that they would stand out. I used the little “dots” for berries, but they look great as flower centers too!   The Happy Thanksgiving sentiment is from the Fall Sentiments Stamp Set.

I love setting a big table for Thanksgiving and will use the left over die cuts to embellish name cards for place settings!

You’re going to want to keep this set handy because I think you’ll be reaching for it again and again all year round!

Thankful For All You Do Fall Leaves Card by Michelle M.

Hello crafty friends! I am Michelle Murray and I am extremely honored and excited to
be guest designing this month for Right at Home Stamps. I am a fan of RAHS products
and couldn’t be happier to share some projects with you!

I don’t know about you but the thought of changing leaves, pumpkin spice everything
and cooler temperatures makes me giddy! Fall is also a time of reflection of the current
year and the possibilities of what lies ahead. Gratitude prompted this project and I am
happy to welcome the fall season with it!

For this project using the Fall Leaves stamp set I knew I had to do some water coloring!
I first stamped the images in black ink and clear heat embossed them onto watercolor
paper. The MISTI stamp positioner is a project-saver when it comes to getting a solid
stamped image on textured surfaces. Nicole has matching dies for this set, but I chose
to fussy cut them to get a dark outline, which made the leaves pop against the craft
background. A combination of Ken Oliver liquid metals and color burst paints brought
the images to life and although you can’t see it in the photos these leaves have a subtle
glitter and shine! I used a piece of 4x6 craft card for the panel. For the sentiment I used
the Fall Sentiments stamp set.

Next I glued down the images popping up some of the leaves with foam tape for
dimension and adhered a few acorns around this half-wreath. The Grid Background
Stamp
and gold embossing powder was perfect for creating a notched vellum ribbon (oh
the ideas that brought on)! Copper deco foil accents were the final touch to the card.
Finally, I mounted the entire piece onto a 5x7 white card base (these beautiful leaves
command extra card space).

I hope I’ve given you some inspiration to bring in the fall and start those beautifully
colored door wreaths.

Thanks for stopping by!

3 Sunflower Cards by Nicole

Hello there!

The blog is full of sunshine today as I'm sharing three different cards I made using my new Sunflower stamp and die set. If you follow me on Instagram you know that I am slightly (read: extremely) obsessed with sunflowers so this has to be one of my favorite sets in my entire collection.

Now let me show you these bright and happy cards!

3 Sunflower Cards by Nicole // rightathomeshop.com/blog

Hello Fall

I consider this first card to be a quintessential fall design. Kraft cardstock, ink blending, and rich brown hues. I started by stamping the large sunflower image from the set and three leaves to tuck around it. I added a few details to the sunflower center with a white gel pen to make them pop. I glued all my flower pieces onto a stitched rectangle (smallest one from my Find the Beauty Die Set) that I inked with the Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo Distress Oxides.

For my sentiment, I die cut several "hello"s from my Script Greetings Die Set from white cardstock and inked it with the same brown Distress Oxide color. I adhered it to the right of the sunflower and added "fall" below. I popped this whole panel onto the center of a kraft cardbase that I stamped with my Gingham Background.

Hello There

My next card is more bright and clean. I used the largest sunflower image again but this time added only one leaf and one of the stems from the set. I popped the finished flower onto another stitched rectangle. I used some woodgrain textured cardstock this time and sponged some Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink along the bottom. It helps ground the flower.

To add my sentiment I die cut the small tag from my Folded Gift Tag Die Set and stamped "hello there" from Fall Sentiments. I "tied" it onto the stem with some natural twine. The finished panel was then popped onto a cardbase that I stamped with my Gingham Background again, but this in a bright yellow ink.

Thinking of You

The final card I think is my favorite. I stamped three of the small sunflower and a stem for each. For the background panel, I used my stitched rectangle again and added Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink upwards from the left corner. I spent a lot of time blending it so it would fade seamlessly into the white background...it was definitely worth the effort! I also spritzed the background with water to get the speckled, oxidized look these inks are known for.

I popped the flower heads up, arranging each one in a slightly different direction. Then I slipped a stem underneath for each one. Again, I "tied" them together using a piece of twine. In the top corner I stamped "thinking of you" from Fall Sentiments and adhered the whole panel to a white, woodgrain cardbase.

You can also watch my how to video about this set below.

I've been so inspired by my Sunflower set and I think it shows in these bright, sunshine-y cards. Oh, I should also mention that all these cards (as well as every one I make lately) feature the Tonic Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew.

I will list all the Right at Home stamps and dies I used below.

Hope you have a great day!

Nicole
